Master of Applied Arts: Emily Carr University

The Master of Applied Arts (MAA) program offers a professional degree that prepares students to engage in the expanding fields of design, media and visual arts within the cultural and creative economies. This 21-month full-time program delivers core curriculum that combines intensive theory and research seminars with rigorous studio classes where students are exposed to advanced exploration in their respective disciplines. The program admits a limited number of students each year to the three streams of the program - design, media and visual arts.
